George Gomez

Mr. George Gomez, age 65, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Monday, January 31, 2022 in Columbia, Tennessee. He was born in Brownsville, Texas and was a son of Omar C. Gomez, Sr. and the late Trinidad Isabella Arizimendi Gomez.

Mr. Gomez retired after 30 years as an Op-Tech with General Motors Corp. He also was the Pastor of Safe Haven Church of God of Prophecy in Lewisburg.

Mr. Gomez is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary A. Gomez, Lewisburg, TN; daughters, April Marie (Brad) Jones, Laws Hill Comm.; Charity Lynn (Steven) Davenport, Lewisburg, TN, Crystal Renae (Jesse) Ledbetter, Lewisburg, TN; father, Omar C. Gomez, Sr., Flint, MI; sisters, Ruth Miller, Raquel Kovarik, Lucy Vowell, Yolanda House, Diana Morningstar, Patty Bouchard, Debbie Packard, Sandy Ackerman; brothers, Omar Gomez, Jr., Geno Gomez, Paul Gomez, Adolf Gomez, Michael Gomez; grandchildren, Addisen Ledbetter, Abby Jones, Christian Davenport, London Ledbetter, Emery Davenport; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family members will receive friends on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Davenport, Pastor Patty Bouchard and Pastor E. G. McKinley officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
