Mr. Glen Trout, age 90, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee went to be with his Lord on Saturday evening, October 25, 2014. Mr. Trout is a native of Marshall County and was the son of the late Herman and Adele Barnes Trout of Holts Corner. A WWII veteran, he served in the Pacific aboard the USS Gilligan (DE 508). He worked as a machinist for AVCO in Nashville for 30 years. After retiring in 1986, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing Rook, and spending time with family. He also raised cattle and tobacco on his farm in Chapel Hill. Glen was a member of Holts Corner Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He was also a member of Chapel Hill Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11122.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Pauline Hamilton, Barbara Taylor, and brother, JB Trout.

Glen is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Marie; children, Jimmy Trout (Barbara) of Cornersville, Danny Trout of Chapel Hill, and Jan West (Greg) of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Annie Trout, Tyler Trout (Katie Beth), Andy, Kate, and Maddie West; brothers, Billy Trout (Betty), David Trout (Elizabeth), Jerry Trout, Ronnie Trout (Annette); sisters, Lillian Smith, Beth Meadows (Jerry); along with many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, Oct. 30, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Chatman officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
