Gloria Duke

Mrs. Gloria Joyce Hicks Duke, age 78, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Sunday, August 25, 2019. Born in Nashville, TN, Mrs. Duke was the daughter of the late Floyd Henry Hicks and Elsie Lee Cunningham Hicks. She was a homemaker and attended the Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred James Duke  Sr. who died in 1998. Also preceded by a son, Ricky Ozment and a brother, Robert Hicks.

Survived by a daughter, Fredia Duke Smith of Chapel Hill, TN; a son, Mark Duke of Lewisburg, TN; 6 grandchildren, Kristin Gregory, Kris “Bubba” Smith, Adam (Ricki) Duke, Cody (Kayrin) Duke, Shelby Duke and Morgan Duke; 4 great grandchildren, Victoria Gregory, Kaleb Gregory, Adley Rae Duke and Walker Duke.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 4pm – 8pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am, Thursday, August 29, 2019 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Interment will be Thursday at 1:30pm at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
