Gordon Comstock

Mr. Gordon Comstock, age 86, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Tuesday evening, October 20, 2015 at his home in Chapel Hill. Mr. Comstock was born in Marshall County and was a son of the late William Clyde and Bessie Weaver Comstock. He was a graduate of Forrest School Class of 1948 and was a life long farmer in Marshall County. Mr. Comstock was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Pope Comstock, who died in 1983 and two brothers, James Comstock and Bob Comstock.

Mr. Comstock is survived by his wife, Darthy Comstock, Clarksville, TN; son, William Lee (Pam) Comstock, Chapel Hill, TN; brother, Donald W. (Faye) Comstock, Brentwood, TN; grandchildren, Alicia (Jason) Warner, Chapel Hill, TN, Jessica (John) Adams, Chapel Hill, TN, Jesse Comstock, Pottsville, Comm.; great grandchildren, Carli, Camreigh and Cutter Warner, Grayson Adams, Luke Comstock; step-children, Debbie (Graft) Hilgenhurst, Brentwood, TN, James Pelham, Clarksville, TN, Kim (Darrell) Melton, Clarksville, TN; several step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.

John Adams, Jason Warner, Charlie McDonald, Bill Gillespie. Tommy Roberson, Phil Comstock, James Pelham, Darrell Melton, Bobby Copeland, Jimmy Gentry, Jerry Gentry, Dennis Coble, Ken Jordan, Alvin Ingram will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Misty Hillis, Charlotte Dickens, Lauren Pegg, Stephanie Skinner, Ashley Evans.
