Pottsville Community, Maury County, TN

Mr. Gordon Wayne Cook, age 84, of the Pottsville Community in Maury County, TN, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in Franklin.  He was born in Marshall County, TN and was a son of the late John Henry Cook and Mabel Aileen Harber Cook.  Mr. Cook was retired as a pipefitter, construction worker, and lifelong farmer.  He was a member of New Lasea Church of Christ and the Local Pipe Fitters Union #86.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren, farming, playing with his cats, NASCAR, and going to concerts featuring Joey and Rory Feek.

Mr. Cook is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mrs. Edna Peay Cook of the Pottsville Community; son, Michael Wayne (Leah) Cook of the Pottsville Community; brother, John (Marie) Cook of Chapel Hill, TN; 3 grandchildren, Zach (Mallory) Cook, Natalie Cook, and Jenna Grace Hill.

Visitation with the family will be from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill, TN.  The graveside service will be conducted at 1 PM on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Brown Cemetery on Hardison Mill Road with Bro. John Waldrum officiating.  Interment will follow in the Brown Cemetery in the Pottsville Community in Maury County, TN.
