Granville Underwood, Jr.

Mr. Granville “Junior” Underwood, age 93, of Eagleville,TN, died Sunday, January 13, 2019. Born in Rutherford Co., Mr. Underwood was a son of the late Granville Sanders Underwood, Sr and Mandy Lee Foster Underwood. Junior was a retired set-up man for General Electric. He was a member of Eagleville Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gene Underwood and 2 grandsons, Chris Underwood and Michael Slattery.

Survived by his wife, Marie Ghee Underwood of Eagleville; a daughter, Sandra Underwood McCarthy of Murfreesboro; a son Edward L. Underwood of Eagleville; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be Monday, January 14, 2019 from 4pm – 8pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 12 Noon from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Grooms officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro.
