Granville Eugene "Gene" Underwood

Mr. Gene Underwood, age 67, of the Rover community of Bedford Co., died Saturday, March 25, 2018. Born in Rutherford Co., Mr. Underwood is a son of Granville Sanders Underwood and Marie Ghee Underwood and was an equipment operator with General Electric. He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Underwood and a Step-son, Michael Slattery.

Survived by a son, Quentin Eugene Underwood of Rockvale, TN; his parents, Granville and Marie Underwood of Eagleville, TN; a sister, Sandra McCarthy of Murfreesboro, TN; a brother, Ed Underwood of Eagleville, TN.; 7 grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, March 26, 2018 at Lawrence Funeral Home, from 4pm – 8pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am, Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Grooms officiating.

Burial will follow at Simpson Cemetery in Bedford Co.
