Gwendolyn "Gwen" Patin

Mrs. Gwen “Nanny” Patin, age 68, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at her home.  She was a native of Lafayette, LA and was a daughter of the late Roy and Eunice Sonnier Degeyter.  Mrs. Patin was a member of Grove Hill Church in Chapel Hill.  She was a bookkeeper for many years and worked for Henry Horton State Park in hospitality.  Mrs. Gwen loved roses and her family dearly and was their strong supporter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton “Pop” Patin, a son, Kasey Patin, and a grandson, Kaine Patin.

Mrs. Patin is survived by her children, Kevin (Trina) Patin of Chapel Hill, TN, Koby (Monica) Patin of Chapel Hill, TN, Kyle (Nicole) Patin of Chapel Hill, TN; sisters, Nawana Schultz of Lafayette, LA, Vanessa Mouton of Scott, LA; 11 grandchildren, Lauren Patin, Taylor Patin, Kody Patin, Ashton McDowell, Tristan Sawyer, Kaitlin Binkley, Maddy Patin, Lyric Patin, Alexis Cushion, Bayla Patin, Kolt “Walter” Patin; 6 great grandchildren, Avery Binkley, Tyler Hammonds, Finley Binkley, Annie Binkley, Landon McDowell, and Kyler Welty.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be conducted at 2 PM on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Allen Cemetery with Ridley Barron officiating.  Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery in the Caney Spring Community of Marshall County, TN.

Kody Patin, Tristan Sawyer, CJ McDowell, Noah Hall, Ryan Schultz, and Chris Osborne will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Schultz, Bryan Schultz, and Chase Mouton.
