Helen Criss

Mrs. Helen S. Criss, age 72, of Columbia, Tennessee, formerly of the Rover Community of Bedford County, died Monday, April 13, 2020 in Columbia, Tennessee. Mrs. Criss was born in Summerlee, West Virginia and was a daughter of the late Harry Clinton and Gladys Louise Redman Wade. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Criss was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Willard Criss, who died in 2007; a daughter, Stacy Criss, and granddaughter, Abbey Sorrells.

Mrs. Criss is survived by her children, Steve (Renee) Criss, Crystal Lake, IL, Maggie (Andy) Sorrells, Franklin, TN, Jalisa Criss, Franklin, TN, Ashley Criss, Columbia, TN, Michael “T.C.” Criss, Spring Hill, TN, Gabriel Criss, Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Melissa Hartwell, Matthew Criss, Melanie Niemann, Mitchell Criss, Lillian Sorrells, Jacob Sorrells, Jay Criss, Brooks Criss; great grandchildren, Jacob Hartwell, Jaden Criss, Alex Criss, Grace Criss, Caleb Criss, McKenzie Criss, Chase Hartwell, Miles Hartwell, Elizabeth Niemann, Hailey Niemann.

In light of the Coronavirus health crisis, there will be no visitation and a private family graveside service will be held with burial to follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County. Please know that online tributes thru the funeral home website are equally appreciated.
