Henry Preston Ingram passed away peacefully on December 6, 2023 at the age of 76 at his beloved home in Leipers Fork, Tennessee after an extended illness.
Born September 30, 1947 of humble beginnings in Mooresville, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Harry Thaddeus Ingram and Alice Kelly Ingram Jackson. Mr. Ingram was preceded in death by his twin sister, Sarah Ingram Roueche of Mooresville, North Carolina.
Mr. Ingram is survived by his beautiful and devoted wife of 43 years, Elizabeth Ann Ingram; by his brother, Robert Fields Ingram (Linda Kay Ingram) of Forest, Virginia; by his children Henry (Bucky) Preston Ingram, Jr (Mariel Bentz Ingram) of Franklin, Tennessee; Paiton Elizabeth Ingram of Franklin, Tennessee; and Kathryn Kelly Mitchell (Garrett Craig Mitchell) of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by grandchildren Ava Grace Ingram, Robert Bentz Rich, Henry Preston Ingram, III, Parker John Mitchell; and by his loving niece, Heather Marie Phillips (James William Phillips) of Franklin, Tennessee, along with many other beloved nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ingram was a lifelong entrepreneur and renowned businessman, having founded multiple companies in Middle Tennessee. He left a lasting influence in the business community. He will always be remembered for his humility, quick wit, generosity, integrity, and most of all his deep love for his faith and family. He carried his ever-present strength and determination through the last few days of his life.
A private family service will take place on the family farm in Leipers Fork, with a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
