Mr. Houston “Bucko” Bryant, age 78, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in Lewisburg, TN. Mr. Bryant was born in Rutherford County, TN and was a son of the late James Edward and Leavie Mae Dunn Bryant. He was retired from Ryder Integrated Logistics as a truck driver and was a member of Farmington Baptist Church. Mr. Bryant served on the Town of Chapel Hill City Council as an Alderman for 19 years and was a member of Chapel Hill Masonic Lodge #160.
Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Margaret Crafton Bryant of Chapel Hill, TN; daughters, Kay Bryant Daughrity of Columbia, TN, Pam Bryant (Billy) Lamb of Chapel Hill, TN; sisters, Maggie Vincent of Cookeville, TN, Nancy Holton of Unionville, TN; grandchildren, Jason (Kelly) Daughrity, Jed Lamb, Brent (Frannie) Daughrity, Jeremy (Alyssa) Lamb; great grandchildren, Preston Daughrity, Poet Daughrity, Harper Daughrity.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 AM on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel with Bro. Bobby Sadler, Bro. Danny Jones, and Jason Daughrity officiating. Interment will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
Memorial donations may be made to the Town of Chapel Hill-City Park, 2702 Unionville Road, Chapel Hill, TN 37034.
Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers. Council members and employees for the Town of Chapel Hill and members of Farmington Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
