Jack Gevedon
March 12, 1928 — January 26, 2015
Mr. Jack Gevedon, age 86, of the Verona Community, formerly of the Palmetto Community of Marshall County, died Monday, January 26, 2015 in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Mr. Gevedon was born in Kentucky and was a son of the late Greenbrier and Pearlie Ison Gevedon. He was retired from Heil-Quaker Corp. of Lewisburg andwas a member of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Marie Mealer Gevedon, who died in 2010, a daughter, Deborah Kay Gevedon and a son Jack Douglas Gevedon.
Mr. Gevedon is survived by three sons, Gary (Faye) Gevedon, Cornersville, TN, Donald (Kay) Gevedon, Verona Comm., Guy (Christine) Gevedon, Petersburg, TN; sisters, Kathy Ray and Jeanette (Rayford) Davidson, both of Calhoun, GA; brother, Rex Gevedon, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Leland Carden officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
