Jacqueline B. Songer

Jacqueline B. Songer, age 80, a longtime resident of Eagleville, TN passed away January 19, 2024. She graduated from Middle Tn Univ with a Bachelor of Science degree. She had a long career in education as a home economics/commercial food and science teacher at Shelbyville Vo Tech High school and then Forrest High School in Chapel Hill. She was an active alumni member of Alpha Delta Pi. She was an avid reader and traveler, some of her last travels were to Washington DC, Nova Scotia and the Rose Bowl parade.

Jacqueline is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Edwin) Barranco; sons, Patrick (Jennifer) Songer and Geoffrey Allen Songer; grandchildren, Alex, Imee, Matthew, Reese, Shelby and Kerrigan; four great grandchildren and loving twin sister, Patricia A. Trainor. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Songer; parents, William Christopher Trainor and Eleanor Flora Gerwig and brother, Curt Trainor. 

A memorial gathering with family and friends will be held 2-4:00PM Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation.
