James Pendergrast

Mr. James E. Pendergrast, age 88, of Shelbyville, TN died Friday, July 4, 2014 in Nashville, TN. He was born in Shelbyville, TN to the late Willis and Bertha Flossie Mai Tucker Pendergrast. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, James Pendergrast and Glenda Marie Christie. Mr. Pendergrast had worked in road construction and served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Pendergrast is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joan Pendergrast of Shelbyville, TN; children, Gerald (Rita) Pendergrast of Bell Buckle, TN, Mandel Pendergrast of Shelbyville, TN, Marcus (Judy) Pendergrast of Shelbyville, TN, Michael (Louise) Pendergrast of Manchester, TN, Pam (Robert) Corbin of Ellijay, GA, and Connie Sisk of Shelbyville, TN; 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11:00am at Osteen - Helton Cemetery near Chapel Hill, TN. Burial will follow. No visitation is scheduled.
