Mr. James Lamb, age 95, of Eagleville, Tennessee, died Monday, July 24, 2017 at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Lamb was born in the Holts Corner Community of Marshall County and was a son of the late Scott and Alice Wilson Lamb. He was a member of Promise United Methodist Church, was a life long farmer and was a good and kind man. Mr. Lamb was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Edna Elizabeth Crafton Lamb; a daughter, Barbara Jean Lamb; a sister, Sarah Wiley; and brothers, Horace “Baby” Lamb and William Lamb.
Mr. Lamb is survived by his children, Betty Mai Sutton, Lewisburg, TN, and Deborah Louise Lamb and her husband, Gary Fancher, Eagleville, TN; granddaughter, Sharon (Greg) Lowe; great grandchildren, Tara (Steven) Pennington, Seth (Paige) Collins; great great grandchildren, Parker and Landon Pennington; sisters, Grace Ford, Smyrna, TN, Margaret (Pete) Tucker, Eagleville, TN; brother, Ralph “Jodie” Lamb, Chapel Hill, TN.
Family members will receive friends on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon on Thursday from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Eady Cemetery in the Holts Corner Community of Marshall County.
