James Phillips

Mr. James Daniel “Danny” Phillips, age 58, of Shelbyville, TN, died Sunday, September 19, 2021 in Shelbyville, TN. Danny was born in Nashville, TN and worked for Marelli in Shelbyville as a tool maker. Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by a niece, Toni Marie Hunter, and brother-in-law, Don Lester.

Mr. Phillips was an active member and shooter of the International Bench Rest Association, member of the Strategic Edge gun range and the Brock Gap Shooting Facility. He had an avid affection for guns, cars, and his special dog, Otis.

Danny is survived by his father, Mayford Howard Phillips of Shelbyville, TN; sisters, Rebecca Lester and Angela Hunter, both of Chapel Hill, TN; brother, David Wayne Phillips of Shelbyville, TN; nieces, Deidre Lester, Shana Lester, Katie Lester, Jordyn Humphreys; several great nieces, great nephew, and his loving dog, Otis.

Per Mr. Phillips request, he will be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
