Mr. James Harvey Isom, age 78, of the Flat Creek Community in Williamson County, TN, died Friday, October 23, 2020, in Franklin, TN. He was born in Williamson County, and was a son of the late James Ellis and Geneva Eady Isom. Harvey was a member and former Elder at Riggs Church of Christ, a graduate of the Class of 1960 from College Grove High School, and served our country in the United States Army. Harvey was a life long farmer, retired as a postman from the College Grove Post Office, and American Airlines in Nashville, TN. He was a member of the Williamson County Farm Bureau, a founding member of the Flat Creek-Bethesda Fire Dept., and a former Williamson County Commissioner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Isom Ham, and sisters, Lorraine Maddux and Carol Eudailey.
Mr. Isom is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Harriette Jane White Isom of the Flat Creek Community; son, Brent (Jamie) Isom of the Flat Creek Community; son-in-law, Tim Ham of Franklin, TN; sister; Elaine (Ronald) Roark of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren; Clay (Clara) Isom, Jacob Isom, Tanner Ham; nieces, Teresa Parks Pinson, Julie Roark, Jennifer White Miller; nephews, J.D. Parks, Greg Roark, Jason Eudailey.
Visitation with the family will be at 2 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the former family farm at 6928 Flat Creek Road, College Grove, TN. The Service will follow at 3 PM with Bro. Russell Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow the service.
Pallbearers will be Clay Isom, Jacob Isom, Tanner Ham, Jason Eudailey, Craig Hutchison, Tim Ham, Andy Miller, J. D. Parks. Honorary pallbearers will be Embree Blackwell, Jr., Charles Blackwell, Calvin Glenn, Billy Giles, Lynn Frye, Danny Stone, Herbert Roberson, Don Hutchinson, Tony White, John Ham, David Hardin, David Garber, Keith Roberson, Lynn Neely, Keith Pinson, Ronald Roark, Dan Ford, Greg Roark, and the men of Riggs Church of Christ.
