James "Jim" Smotherman

Mr. James “Jim” Albert Smotherman, age 69, of Eagleville, TN, died Saturday, September 2, 2017. Born in Rutherford Co., Mr. Smotherman was a son of the late Tazie Lee Smotherman and Annie Laura Underwood Smotherman  who survives. Jim was a retired electrician and was baptized at Eagleville Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by infant son, Kenny Ray Smotherman and by a brother, Charles Smotherman.

Survived by his mother, Annie Underwood Smotherman of Eagleville; a sister, Martha Plunkett of Murfreesboro; 4 brothers, Vernon Lee Smotherman of Smyrna, John Irvin Smotherman of Murfreesboro, Edwin Ray Smotherman of Eagleville and Rickey Leland Smotherman of Murfreesboro; Life-long friend wife Betty Jean Smotherman, Antioch, TN.

Visitation will be from 4pm-8pm, Monday, September 4, 2017, at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Darrel Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at 2pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville, TN.
