James "Mike" Garrett

Mr. James “Mike” Garrett, age 95, of College Grove, Tennessee, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at his home. Mr. Garrett was born in College Grove and lived all his life in the College Grove Community. He was a son of the late Mayfield and Anna Ruth Pinkston Garrett. In addition to his parents, Mike was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael Garrett and Kenneth Garrett; and a brother, Pat Garrett.

Mr. Garrett was a life long dairy farmer and also had retired as a salesman for the former White’s Dairy Supply in College Grove. He was a member of Triune United Methodist Church.

Mr. Garrett is survived by his wife of 75 years, Dot Garrett; daughter, Debra (Ronnie) Shelton; son, David Garrett, all of College Grove, TN; sister, Selene Crabtree, Nolensville, TN; grandson, Daniel (Shawna) Garrett; great granddaughters, Deanna and Emelia Garrett, all of Eagleville, TN.

Graveside services for Mr. Garrett will be conducted at 10:30 am on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Triune Cemetery, Triune, Tennessee with Rev. Dustin Miller officiating. Burial will immediately follow. No visitation will be held prior to graveside services.
