James "Rick" Sheppard

Mr. James “Rick’ Sheppard, age 69, of Unionville, TN died Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Maury County, TN, Mr. Sheppard was a son of the late Robert Walter and Ruth McCaleb Sheppard. Rick was a Truck Driver for 50 years and enjoyed fishing, racing, football and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Sheppard was a member of the Green Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents and grandparents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Janice Ruth Boley and several uncles.

Mr. Rick is survived by his wife of 39 years, Judy Sheppard of Unionville, TN; daughters, Jaime Lynn Sheppard of Shelbyville, TN, Kelly Elizabeth Sullivan of Unionville, TN; grandchildren, Ashton Blaine Hames, Kaylee DeShea Sullivan, J.J. Evans, John Tyler Reed; brothers, Robert Sheppard of Chapel Hill, TN Joe Mac Sheppard of Lebanon, TN.

The Family will receive friends on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 4:00PM until 8:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home and again on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 9:00AM until service time. Funeral services for Mr. Sheppard will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Reverend Lisa Cook officiating. Internment will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
