Mrs. Jean Wiseman, age 82, of Thompson Station, Tennessee, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, died Monday, July 25, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee with her loved ones at her side. Mrs. Wiseman was born June 24, 1940 in Plymouth, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Frances Bell Vicital and Edward Mason Bonney. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William F. Wiseman, who died in 2011.
Mrs. Wiseman was a long time member of Farmington Presbyterian Church in Germantown, TN where she served in many different roles including being a church elder, a member of the church choir, a Sunday School teacher, and for many years, was in charge of all church fellowship. She was a Life Member and served as moderator of Presbyterian Women. Mrs. Wiseman was also a member and served as past president of the Memphis Guild of Handloom Weavers, as well as a member and past president of the Woodland Garden Club.
Mrs. Wiseman is survived by her children, John Wiseman, St. Louis MO, and Beth Rolfe (Chip) Butler, Thompson Station, TN; and grandchildren, Mason Butler, Garrett Butler, Jeff Wiseman, and Alyssa Wiseman.
Memorial services for Mrs. Wiseman will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00 am at Farmington Presbyterian Church, 8245 Farmington Blvd., Germantown, TN with Rev. Rebecca Luter officiating.
Memorial donations, in memory of Jean Wiseman, may be made to the William and Margaret Wiseman and Francis Saxon Music Scholarship Fund or the Church Health Center, both through Farmington Presbyterian Church, 8245 Farmington Blvd., Germantown, TN 38139.
