Jerry Wayne "Jt" Turner

Mr. Jerry Wayne “JT” Turner, age 69, of Daphne, AL, formerly of Lewisburg TN, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at his residence.  He was born in Harlan, KY.  Mr. Turner was a retired Service Manager for Marshall Farmers  CO-OP in Lewisburg, TN.  Jerry proudly served our country in the United States Army.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Troy Shane Turner, Sr., a daughter, Jerri Patricia “Patty” Turner, and several brothers and sisters.

Jerry enjoyed fishing, boating, farming, and mowing the lawn.  He was a master automotive technician and giving good advice, especially his opinion.  He loved music, rocking on the porch and solving problems, and organizing cook-outs.  His passion was teaching his grandchildren about life and supporting them!

Mr. Turner is survived by her loving  wife of 51 years, Vicky Young Turner of Daphne, AL; children, Melissa (Thomas) King of Nolensville, TN, Tanya (Justin) Sawicki of Daphne, AL; 11 grandchildren, Lance King, Adam (Alyssa) King, Merissa Hope King, Charlotte (Dakota) Blackwell, Troy Shane “TJ” Turner, Jr., Brady King, Camille Turner, Nynah Sawicki, Taylor King, Abram “Tank” Sawicki, Xander Wayne Sawicki; 3 great grandchildren, Alanna Blackwell, Savanna Blackwell, Ayden King; sister, Sue Hall of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Pornell Turner of Harlan, KY, and Onis Turner of Rockvale, TN.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Pastor Lon Byrd Broyles, III officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow at Carlton Cemetery in Rockvale, TN.
