Jimmie Fitzgerald

Mr. Jimmie Fitzgerald, age 88, of Unionville, TN, died Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his residence.  He was a native of Tennessee and was a son of the late J. E. and Avis Fitzgerald.  Mr. Fitzgerald was a member of the Methodist Church and served in the United States Air Force where he earned 2 Purple Hearts and a Silver Star during the Korean Conflict.  After his military career he became a farmer.  He also participated in several civic groups including the Rotary Club.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Fitzgerald, and sister, Marie Sleighball.

Mr. Fitzgerald is survived by his wife, Brenda King Fitzgerald of Unionville, TN; daughter, Lisa (Kenneth) Warner of Murfreesboro, TN; son, James (Mary Beth) Piedra of Dothan, AL; 4 grandchildren, Morgan Watson, Kelsey Warner, Madison Piedra, and Mitchell Piedra.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
