Jimmy Matney

Mr. Wayne Matney, age 69, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in Chapel Hill. Mr. Matney was born in Marshall County and was a son of the late Jesse Lee and Robbie Mae Frances Orr Matney. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He was a retired warehouse worker and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Matney.

Mr. Matney is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Cindy Matney, Toledo, Ohio; several special aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill with Rev. Larry Chatman officiating. Burial will immediately follow.
