Jimmy Purdom

Mr. James David “Jimmy” Purdom, age 52, of the Rover Community of Bedford County, died Monday morning, August 22, 2016 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Mr. Purdom was born in Marshall County and was a Validation Engineer for Vi-Jon of Smyrna, Tennessee. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Chapel Hill, Tennessee.

Mr. Purdom is survived by his wife, Mary Purdom, Rover Comm.; sons, Kendall Purdom and Alex Purdom, both of the Rover Comm.; mother and father, Carol and Billy Purdom, Chapel Hill, TN; sister, Cathy Purdom, Brentwood, TN; and his loving pet German Shepherd, “John”.

Family members will receive friends on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Robinson and Rev. Tim McGehee officiating.
