J.O. Ladd

Joe Oliver Ladd (J.O.), a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, at his home in Thompson's Station, Tennessee. Born on January 31, 1950, in Franklin, Tennessee.

 J.O. lived a life rich with love for his family and an unwavering passion for the land he cherished. J.O. was a dedicated employee and retired from Williamson Co Ready Mix. 

Preceded in death by his loving parents Margaret and Joe Ladd. J.O. is survived by his loving wife of more than four decades, Barbara Ladd. Together they raised two wonderful children: Mary Hope Roberson (Greg) and Adam Ladd (Megan). As a proud grandfather to Briar Roberson (fiancé, Samantha), Cole Roberson, and Auryn Ladd; uncle, Joe Mangrum and sister, Elaine Chatman (Reverend Larry Chatman).

J.O. found joy in watching his grandchildren grow. He often shared stories with them and laughter echoed throughout the hills. His love extended beyond just his tractor and farm; it encompassed every creature that called his property home. 

The loss of J.O. leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of many; however, those fortunate enough to have known him will forever cherish their memories together. Visitation will be held Monday December 30, 2024 from 4-8:00PM and one hour prior to the service Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens.

 
Pallbearers are Adam Ladd, Briar Roberson, Cole Roberson, Auryn Ladd, Greg Roberson, Jesse Dunn, Michael Harrison, Jeremy Nichols, and Ken King. Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Carson White, James McClure, Grant Buford, Tommy Hood, Tony Edde, and Reverend Larry Chatman
