Jock King

May 2, 1964 — March 23, 2015

Mr. Jock Bryson “Orly” King, age 50, of Eagleville, Tennessee, died Monday, March 23, 2015 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. “Orly” was born in Rutherford County and was employed as a tower inspector for JAG Resources, but was known around the world for his love of skydiving. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph B. King.

Mr. King left behind a son, Jesse B. Allen-King, Nashville, TN; mother, Margaret Kelley King, Eagleville, TN; four siblings, Brad (Renee) King, Eagleville, TN, Jeff (Sharon) King, Rockvale, TN, Brook (Kathy) King, Smyrna, TN, Alisa (Joe) Jack, Eagleville, TN; eight loved nieces and nephews. He also left behind the love and admiration of the skydiving world that he loved.

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service for Mr. King will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home conducted by his brother, Jeff King. Burial will follow in King-Cook Cemetery in Bedford County.
