John Boyce, Jr.

Mr. John W. “Jitter” Boyce, Jr., age 75, of Unionville, died Sat., Sept. 28, 2013. A native of Bedford Co., Jitter was a son of the late John William Boyce, Sr. and Wilma Gladys Purvis Boyce. He was a life-long farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Betty Hinson, Jean Stevenson and Annette Ward.

Surviving are 2 sisters, Martha Clark of Unionville; Margaret “Susie” Smith and husband Jimmy of Shelbyville; 2 brothers, Tom Boyce and wife Linda of Murfreesboro; William “Billy” Boyce and wife Mary of Shelbyville.

Visitation will be from 4pm – 8pm, Mon., Sept. 30, 2013 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10am, Tues., Oct. 1, 2013 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Simpson Cemetery in the Rover community.
