John Upchurch

Mr. John Robert Upchurch, age 49, of the Rover Community of Bedford County, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Mr. Upchurch was born in Rutherford County and was a small appliance and television repair person. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kelton Upchurch and a sister, Debra Kay Upchurch.

Mr. Upchurch is survived by his children, Marcella Ann Upchurch, Smyrna, TN, John Ethan Upchurch, Unionville, TN, Phillip Leon (Nikki) Overbey, Elmwood, TN, Briana Elise (Bartolo) Turner, Red Boiling Springs, TN; mother and step-father, Lillian and Billy Taylor, Shelbyville, TN; fiancée’, Veronica Yavonne Paredes, Rover Community; sisters, Teresa Ann (Darren) Jones and Kathy Elizabeth (Eddie) Hill, both of Shelbyville, TN; brother, Terry Daniel (Sheila) Upchurch, Shelbyville, TN; grandchildren, Carlos, Kaylee, Javiar; six nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.

Family members will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Allen Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community.

Josh Hill, Brian Hill, Terry Upchurch, Earnest Ashworth, Phillip Overbey, Mark Vaughn and Billy Taylor will serve as pallbearers.
