Mr. John Hershel “Buddy” Dalton, age 85, of Eagleville, Tennessee, formerly of Foley, Alabama, died Thursday, May 31, 2018 in Eagleville. Mr. Dalton, was born in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Robert Milton and Annie Lou Hendrix Dalton. He retired from Hester Battery Company after 30 years of service, and later, again retired from Spartan Foods after more than 10 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Shelton, and a brother, Charles Dalton and a great grandchild.
Mr. Dalton is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mildred “Kat” Dalton, Eagleville, TN; children, John Michael (Sue Ellen) Dalton, Winder, GA, Kathey Sue Burleson, Eagleville, TN, Robert Keith (Deana) Dalton, Hueytown, AL; sister, Betty Lou (Jr.) Rigsby, Eagleville, TN; brothers, Donald Dalton, Shelbyville, TN, James “Mickey” (Maggie) Dalton, Shelbyville, TN; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Elliott Cemetery near Chapel Hill with Rev. Ronnie Grooms officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Elliott Cemetery.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or Kindred Hospice in memory of John Hershel Dalton.
