Johnny Clifton Woodside, age 80, of the Anes Station Community in Marshall County, TN passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 peacefully at home. He was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, beloved great grandfather, and dear friend too many. He was retired from International Comfort Products.
Born at his family home in Williamson County, TN, Johnny lived a life full of love, laughter and kindness. He was known for his warm smile, gentle demeanor and love for the Lord.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, William “Bill” Gray Woodside and Annie Lee Roberson Woodside, brothers, Dan Woodside, Charles Woodside, James Woodside, and sister, Mary “Sissy” Woodside Lee.
Mr. Woodside is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jean Ervin Woodside; children, Troy (Linda) and Amanda “Mandy” Woodside (Brad); grandchildren, William “Bill” Woodside, (Jennifer) Elizabeth “Beth” McCormick (Zach), and step grandson, Halen Bryant; great grandchildren, Katie Muston, Hannah McCormick and Nolan McCormick; siblings Jeannie McElhaney and Milton Woodside; daughter-in-law, Sandra “Sandy” DeFoe Woodside; along with several nieces and nephews and other family members. Many thanks to the dedicated caregivers that he has had. All of these he loved and touched deeply.
Over the years Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and music. Until his health condition made it impossible, Johnny was active in the life of the church at Old Lasea Church of Christ where he was a song leader for 30 years. Most of all he loved his family and instilled in his children strong values that have served them well.
Johnny Woodside may have left this world, but his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all that knew him.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Bray officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery near Lewisburg, TN.
Bill Woodside, Keith Roberson, Dennis Tindell, Tim Crutcher, Randy Henson, and Casey Woodside will serve as pallbearers.
