Joseph Klimas. Jr.

Mr. Joseph J. Klimas, Jr., age 90, of Freeburg, IL, died Sunday, August 18, 2019 in Lebanon, TN.  He was born in East Saint Louis, IL and was a son of the late Joseph John Klimas, Sr. and Catherine (Evers) Powell.  Mr. Klimas was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from the Dial Corporation.  He was a member of the Freeburg, IL Lions Club and the Freeburg, IL Sportsmen Club.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marietta Whitson Klimas, and three brothers, Kenny Klimas, Duke Klimas, and Richard Powell.

Mr. Klimas is survived by his children; Guy (Annette) Klimas of Freeburg, IL, Jackie (James) Moses of Chapel Hill, TN, Sherry Youngs of Murfreesboro, TN, Keith (Francine) Klimas of Saint Charles, MO; 5 grandchildren, Matthew Moses, Lindsay Sander, Kaitlyn Jones, Joel Klimas, and Kyler Klimas; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Estella (Powell) Bernhard of California; and many foster children.

There will be no local services.  Interment will be in the Green Mount Protestant Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
