Juanita Smithson

Mrs. Juanita Smithson, age 78, of the Caney Spring Community died Tuesday, November 11, 2014. A native of Hazel Green, AL, Mrs. Smithson was a daughter of the late Robert and Addie Phillips Yell. She was retired from Durango Boot Company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mike Smithson and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Smithson is survived by her daughters, Connie (Jerry) Sweeney of Chapel Hill, TN, Debbie (Eddie) Freeman of Rockvale, TN and Rita (Richard) Hobby of the Wheel Community; sisters, Lucille Cook of Lewisburg, TN, Myrtle Harris of Shelbyville, TN, Betty Jo Jarrett, Lewisburg, TN; brother, Horace Yell of Lewisburg, TN; 4 grandchildren, Jill Sweeney, Megan Sweeney, Kenzie Smithson, and Waylon Hobby.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 from 4 PM – 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM, Friday, November 14, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Chatman officiating. Interment will follow at Hopper Cemetery.
