Ken Sharp

Pastor Ken Sharp, age 61, of Rockvale, TN, died Sunday, March 27, 2016. A native of Colfax, WA, Ken was the son of Laverne Sharp and Mary Ann Kramlich Sharp. He was a graduate of Washington State University and received his Master of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. At the time of his passing he was the Pastor of Jackson Ridge Community Church in Rockvale and also served 14years as the Pastor of Patterson Baptist Church in the Patterson community of Rutherford Co. Pastor Sharp for several years worked for Bible Pathway Ministries and for many years organized and directed the Bible Reading Marathon in Murfreesboro.

Survived by his wife, Tammy Sharp of Rockvale, TN; 2 daughters, Hayley Stanley and Hannah McDonald both of Rockvale; 2 sons, Michael Sharp of Hendersonville, TN and Derrick McDonald of Murfreesboro, TN; his parents, Laverne and Mary Ann Sharp of Colfax, WA; a sister, Kathy (Mike) Russ of Tacoma, WA.

Visitation will from 4PM – 8PM, Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM, Friday, April 1, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Pastor Charles McKnight officiating. Burial will follow at the Jackson Ridge Cemetery in Rockvale.
