Kristi Lyn Gentry age 46, died unexpectedly in an automobile accident on July 22, 2024. Kristi was a 1996 graduate of Forrest High School. She was a forklift driver with Nissan. She was a free-spirited and adventurous soul, who lived life on her own terms, embracing each day with a wild and untamed spirit. She was committed to helping others.
She was known for her boundless energy and zest for life. Her carefree nature and wild heart led her through many adventures, always seeking new experiences and thrills. She had a passion for drawing, cats, photography, and the beauty of nature, capturing the essence of the world around her. She found solace and joy through the rhythms of nature.
Though her path in life was unconventional, Kristi loved fiercely and deeply. She found joy in the spontaneity of life and shared that joy with everyone she encountered. Her laughter was contagious. Kristi will be remembered by her children and grandchildren who carry forward her legacy of embracing life’s adventures. She will also be missed by her family and friends, who admired her free spirit and the unique perspective she brought to the world.
Kristi is survived by her children, Sydney Gentry, Lawrenceburg, TN; Haiden Penrod, Chapel Hill, TN, Riley Penrod, Chapel Hill, TN; grandchild: Oliver Kaine Gentry; parents: Greg and Debbie Penrod, Chapel Hill, TN; siblings: David Penrod, Chapel Hill, TN, Jennifer Hill, KY, grandmothers, Clarice Russell and Sandra Penrod of Indiana.
Kristi is predeceased by her son, Brandon Gentry, her grandfathers Butch Russell and Robert Penrod.
Kristi has many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
A celebration of Kristi’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a tree be planted in Kristi’s memory, reflecting her love for animals and nature.
