Larry Wayne Newman

Mr. Larry Wayne Newman, age 76, of Unionville, TN, died Monday, July 31, 2023 following an extended illness. Born in Giles Co., Mr. Newman was a son of the late Melvin Lee Newman and Martha Hill Newman. He was a retired Job Superintendent in commercial construction. Larry enjoyed doing carpentry and thoroughly loved hunting and fishing from his boat. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Kimberly Newman Baltimore and Kay Lynn Barnes; a sister, Hazel Adams; 4 brothers, Malcom, Kenny, Robert and Ben Newman; a great grandchild, Lawless Hammers.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lana Kay Richards Newman; 3 daughters, Michelle Bayne (Chad Sanders, Sr) Newman of Shelbyville, TN, Diana (Mark) Earls of Murfreesboro, TN, Tina (Brad) Maxwell of Murfreesboro, TN; a son, Michael (Angela) Newman of Lewisburg, TN; Sisters, Mary Louise Davis of Shelbyville, TN, Laura Perry of the Wheel community, Wanda George of Waynesboro, TN’ 3 brothers, William “Tooter” Newman of Tullahoma, TN, Eddie Newman of the Wheel community, Jimmy Newman of Tullahoma, TN; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10am – 11:30 am, Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 12pm on Wednesday at Pressgrove Cemetery in Bedford Co. on Unionville-Deason Rd.
