Lattis Peek, Jr.

Mr. Lattis C. Peek, Jr., age 63, of the Wheel Community of Bedford County, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at his home. Mr. Peek was born in Bedford County and was a son of the late Lattis C. Peek, Sr. and Ora Louise Pugh Peek. He was a member of Non-Denominational Christian Fellowship of Shelbyville and was retired from Jostens, Inc. of Shelbyville, Tn.

Mr. Peek is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janie Smith Peek, Wheel Community; daughter, Angela (Michael) Newman, Clay Hill Community; son Eugene (Cindy) Peek, Belfast, TN; sister, Inez (Andrew) Lane, Shelbyville, TN; brother, Duffel Peek, Shelbyville, TN; mother-in-law, Bernice Smith, Laws Hill Community; three grandchildren, Levi and Triston Newman, Bradley Peek.

Family members will receive friends on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Marjorie Lehman and Laurell Zinn officiating. Burial will follow in Hopper Cemetery near Chapel Hill.

Levi Newman, Bradley Peek, Johnny Fagan, Dylan Jones, Bubba Jones and Tommy Davis will serve as pallbearers.
