LAWRENCE "LARRY" SYMONS

Mr. Lawrence “Larry” Symons, age 81, of Chapel Hill, TN died Friday, January 19, 2024. Born in Gaines, MI, Larry was a son of the late Carl Symons and Florence Hudson Symons. He was retired from General Motors where he worked as a diesel mechanic. He also owned and operated his own business, Symons Truck Repair.  Larry loved helping people, the outdoors, working on the farm and refurbishing old cars. He was a member of the Chapel Hill Lions Club and Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margorie Fisher and a brother, Merritt Symons.+

Survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Symons of Chapel Hill, TN; a daughter, Michele Carol Cope of Centralia, WA; a son, Michael Carl Symons (Michelle) of Linden, MI; 2 sisters, Maxine Lepior and Glennadine Bonham both of Linden,MI; a brother, Merle Symons of Inverness, FL; 5 grandchildren, Amanda (Masen)Allen, Ashley Symons, Blade Cope, Carlie Jo Cope and Madison Horn; great-grandchild, Harlee Jo Reyna.

Visitation with the family will be from 10am – 12pm, Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home with a Memorial Service beginning at 12pm. Following the Memorial Service, family and friends will gather at the Family Life Center of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church for a luncheon.
