Lena Price

Mrs. Lena Hopkins Price, age 87, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at her home in Chapel Hill. Mrs. Price was born in Giles County and was a daughter of the late Henry Clifton and Willie Blanche Nix Hopkins. She was a member of Berea Church of Christ in the Berea Community of Marshall County. Mrs. Price retired after 20 years of service with the Marshall County School System, Food Service Division. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rufus “Bill” Price, Jr., who died in 2010 and by her daughter-in-law, Tonie Price.

Mrs. Price is survived by her son, Larry Price, Cane Ridge, TN; sister, Patricia (Nathan) Todd, Chapel Hill, TN; two brothers, Billy Hopkins, Clay Hill, Comm., Tex (Mary) Hopkins, Rich Creek Comm.; two grandchildren, Jason (Laura) Price and Derrick (Jesi) Price; great grandchildren, Emmerson Lee Price and Bennett Alexander Price.

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Nathan Hagood officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
