Mrs. Lois G. Day, age 92, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Lewisburg, Tennessee.

Mrs. Day was born in Nashville, Tennessee and was a daughter of the late Guy Henry and Maurine Durdin Goddard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vernon Day, who died in 2015; son-in-law, John McCord; sister, Dorothy West; brothers, Jack Goddard and Thomas Goddard; sisters-in-law, Faye Goddard and Ruth Goddard.

She was a homemaker, a retired secretary and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Day is survived by her daughters, Diane McCord, Spring Hill, TN, Elaine (John) Morton, Normandy, TN, Kathy (Dwayne) Kieffer, Chapel Hill, TN; grandchildren, Kristin Wilson, Britt McCord, Clay Morton, Casey Morton, Anna Wright, Andrew Kieffer; eight great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Nashville, TN with Rev. Larry Chatman officiating. Burial will immediately follow.

Britt McCord, Nick Wilson, Jack Wilson, Clay Morton, Casey Morton, Andrew Kieffer, and Justin Wright will serve as pallbearers.

The daughters of Mrs. Day would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of NHC Lewisburg for the kindness and compassionate care shown to their Mother and to them during her stay.

Memorial donations, in memory of Mrs. Lois G. Day, may be made to Honor Flight, P. O. box 1926, Tullahoma, TN  37388-1926.
