Lois Marie Barrett

Mrs. Lois Marie Barrett, age 69, of Chapel Hill, TN passed away December 14, 2023 in Nashville, TN from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  She was born, March 3, 1954 in Flint, MI to the late Edward Vernon Kinsel and Matie Ilene Wells Kinsel. Lois graduated from Mt. Morris High School, with the class of 1972. Lois married the late Donald G. Barrett on July 8, 1972. In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by her niece Karen (Brainard) Hendry and a nephew Richard Kinsel Jr. 

Lois loved to do research on her computer and talk with friends in the different forums she was in. She loved doing genealogy.  She also loved to crochet, read, cook, sing and play the piano, and study her Bible. Most of all, she loved her little dogs.

Lois is survived by her son, Kevin (Dana) Barrett of Franklin, TN, sister, Ilene (Clyde) Brainard of Columbia, TN, brother, Richard (Susan) Kinsel of Greenwood, IN, and sister, Linda (Jim) Secord of Saginaw, MI; 5 nieces and nephews, Mark (Jewel) Brainard, Lisa (Curtis) Crumb, Debra (Bob) Somsan, James (Kay) Secord Jr., Tamra (Jeff) Hamman, and several great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM at Lawrence Funeral Home on Thursday, December 21, 2023.  The funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Pastor Jim McClarity officiating.  Interment will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
