Lorene Rigsby

Mrs. Lorene Russell Rigsby, age 83, of Eagleville, Tennessee, died Friday, April 12, 2013 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  Mrs. Rigsby was born in Bedford County and was a daughter of the late James Muse and Myrtle Landers Russell.  She, along with her husband, the late Jacob William (J.W.) Rigsby were partners in Rigsby Bros. Grocery, Garage and Construction Company.  Mrs. Rigsby was a 62 year member of Eagleville Baptist Church where she served as treasurer for 24 years and was a member of the Ladies Fidelis Sunday School Class.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Foster.

Mrs. Rigsby is survived by two daughters, Margaret R. (Howard) Hall, Eagleville, TN, Michelle (Lonnie) Davis, Murfreesboro, TN; son, David W. (Peggy) Rigsby, Sr., Eagleville, TN; sisters, Lucille (James) Moore, Unionville, TN, Emma Jean (Jack) Molder, Deason Comm., Lula Mae (Clifton) Johnson, College Grove, TN, Shirley (Jack) Williams, Eagleville, TN, grandchildren, Jeremy (Joanna) Davis, Amanda (Justin) Fontaine, Dustin (Christy) Davis, David (Tyroma) Rigsby, Jr., Charity (Chris) McCone; great grandchildren, Felicia, Hayden, Bella, Eden, Karsen, Farrah, Jake and Weston; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Merkle and Betty Rigsby; sister-in-law, Ethel Pardue.

Family members will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Visitation will also be on Sunday afternoon prior to services. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Carpenter and Rev. Ben Martin officiating.  Burial will follow in Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.

Grandson and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
