Louise Medley Ragsdale

Mrs. Louise Medley Ragsdale, age 69, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Sunday, April 21, 2024 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  Mrs. Ragsdale was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late James Edward and Shirley Vester Blackwell Medley.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Ann Wiser and brother, Bobby Wayne Medley.

Louise was a member of New Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church in the Rally Hill Community and was a homemaker and retired, having worked for many years with Teledyne, Inc. of Lewisburg and Nichirin of Lewisburg.

Mrs. Ragsdale is survived by her husband of 14 years, Jesse Marvin Ragsdale, Lewisburg, TN; children, James David Bowen, Petersburg, TN, Melissa (Charles “Rabbitt”) Lewis, Petersburg, TN; grandchilden, Susan Louise Bowen, Dakota Ray (Ryoko) Poarch, Keifer Jay Poarch; great grandchildren, Kimerson Chaney, Keegan Chaney, Kylee Bowen; sister, Shirley Ann Dunnivant, Florida; brother, Gary Leon Medley, Farmington Comm.

Family members will receive friends on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at New Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church, 3863 Hwy 431, Columbia, TN  38401, with Bro. Edd Luna officiating.  Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.

Cody Poarch, Richard Ragsdale, Brian Sheppard, Charles Lewis, Coty Hancock, Keith Westmoreland, and Junior Hancock will serve as pallbearers.
