Lucille Chrisman
March 21, 1937 — June 22, 2015
Lucille Amanda Chrisman (Nee Newsom), age 78, passed peacefully on June 22, 2015 in Akron, Ohio. Lucille was born in Franklin, Tennessee, the daughter of Roy Newsom and Susie Vinson.
Lucille thoroughly enjoyed camping, traveling, and the outdoors. Raising her children and being a homemaker were some of her many joys.
In 1955 Lucille married the love of her life, Ellis Chrisman, in DeSoto County, Mississippi. They moved to Akron, Ohio and eventually settled in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to raise their family. Lucille was a loving mother and beloved wife.
Lucille was preceded in death by her loving husband Ellis Chrisman in 1997.
She is survived by her 5 children, and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Family members will receive friends on Friday, July 3, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 11:00AM, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with burial to follow in Joyce-Epperson Cemetery near Chapel Hill.
