Mrs. Lucille Yell Cook, age 90, of the Haskins Chapel Community of Bedford County, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Mrs. Cook was born in Huntsville, Alabama and was a daughter of the late Robert and Addie Phillips Yell. She was a homemaker and was retired from Musgrave Pencil Company of Shelbyville. Mrs. Cook was a long time member of Haskins Chapel Assembly of God Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Thomas “Tom” Cook, and eight brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Cook is survived by her sister, Betty Jo Jarrett, Lewisburg, TN; brother, Horace (Judy) Yell, Lewisburg, TN; nieces, Rita (Richard) Hobby, Shelbyville, TN, Connie (Jerry) Sweeney, Chapel Hill, TN, Debbie Freeman, Rockvale, TN, Carolyn (Mike) Richardson, Tullahoma, TN, several other nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation with family members will be Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Canady officiating. Burial will follow in Hopper Cemetery in the Laws Hill Community.
Timmy Canady, Ricky Canady, Bob Harris, Clint Richardson, Brad Richardson and Waylon Hobby will serve as pallbearers.
