MARGARET PERRELL RYAN, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, peacefully went to be with her Lord on December 24, 2024.
Born November 1, 1930, a native of Rutherford County, Margaret was a daughter of the late Roscoe Perrell and Mary Sue Maupin Perrell. She was retired from Lifeway Christian Resources in Nashville, TN and was a member of Eagleville Baptist Church.
She lived her life with a love for her family and working in her yard. Margaret loved the holidays and preparing huge meals for the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved music and never missed an opportunity to let you know that, as a member of the Lifeway choir, sang many times on the stage of the Ryman.
She loved reminiscing about her young days doing farm work and was very proud of her upbringing. Necessary and needed to work on the farm, she left school in the 7th grade. She was very happy when Lifeway gave her the opportunity to obtain her GED so that she could promote within her job.
Affectionately, nicknamed “Good” by her family, because she was such a good child, Margaret always had a bright smile which could radiate a room.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Ryan, who died in 1976 at the age of 53 years old; and a daughter, Claudia Ryan Trantham, who died in 2018 at the age of 68; three brothers, George Perrell, Roscoe Perrell Jr., and John Perrell; three sisters, Shirley Crick, Frances Lester, and Bessie Lee Mosley.
Survived by a son, Michael (Mary Ann) Ryan of Murfreesboro, TN, and a daughter, Debbie Ryan of Delray Beach, FL; 3 sisters, Anita Hargrove of Eagleville, TN, Jane Shelton of Eagleville, TN, Polly Riggan of Lebanon, TN; 5 grandchildren, Melissa (Tim) Harp of Portland, TN, Jackie (Kevin) Hanke of IL, Ricky Love, Jr. of Murfreesboro, TN, Phillip Ryan of Bell Buckle, TN, Stephen Ryan of Bell Buckle, TN; 9 great grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Murfreesboro, Tennessee with Rev. Ben Martin officiating. Burial will immediately follow.
