Margaret Sanders

Mrs. Margaret Rogers Sanders, age 98, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Monday, May 9, 2022 in Columbia, Tennessee.  Mrs. Sanders was born in Chapel Hill, TN on April 25, 1924 to Charles Walter and Maude White Rogers who preceded her in death, along with four brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Margaret was a resident of Village Manor Assisted Living in Lewisburg and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lewisburg. She worked as a receptionist, bookkeeper, and insurance clerk for Dr. K. J. Phelps, Sr. for many years. Mrs. Margaret also worked for Eraser Products of Lewisburg and the Marshall County Senior Citizens.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by her daughters, Donna Kay Sanders (Ralph) George, Hopkinsville, KY, Sara Grace Sanders (Richard) Aquilini, Wilmington, NC, Barbara Ann Sanders (Carmen) Mangrum, Columbia, TN; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
