Margaret Langley O'Neal Nutt

Ms. Margaret Langley O’Neal Nutt, age 77, of Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of Chapel Hill, TN died on Friday, November 27, 2020 in Murfreesboro, TN.  She was born at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN to the late T J and Mary Margaret Ferguson Nutt.  She was a retired educator and a member of the Church of Christ.  Ms. Margaret was a graduate of the University of Memphis with double degrees, a BS in Art History and an MS in Archeology and Egyptology.  She was a founding chapter President of Sir Hugh Bullocke Chapter of Colonial Dames XVII.  She loved flowers especially wildflowers, a love from her Mother, and was extremely gifted in geneology and family research.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, James F. and Mary Ferguson, uncle and aunt, Jack R. and Sarah Nelson and her beloved fur baby son, Typka.

Ms. Nutt is survived by her daughters, Mary Margaret Moore of Murfreesboro, TN, Catherine Ann Moore Betts (Kevin) Wright of Humboldt, TN; sister, Amelia Nutt (Marion Vincent, Jr.) Armstrong of Lewisburg, TN; and grandchildren, Lauren O’Neal Betts Wright, William Barrett (Eva) Wright, and Annie Lou Wright (Nick) Dunaway.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later time for the family.
