Mrs. Marie Boyce Cooper, age 87, of the Hopkins Bridge Community of Bedford County, died Sunday, September 28, 2014 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Mrs. Cooper was born in Davidson County and was a daughter of the late John Marvin and Evelyn Grace Rusher Boyce. She was a member of Rays Chapel United Methodist Church and was the owner and operator of Riverview Primitive Camp in the Hopkins Bridge Community. Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband, Newton Jason Cooper, a son, John Cooper and two brothers, Raymond Boyce and Albert “Shorty” Boyce.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by a sister, Helen Crowell, Unionville, TN; brothers, Johnny Boyce, Unionville, TN, Bill Boyce, Shelbyville, TN, Donald Boyce, Unionville, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, evening, October 1, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. David Wall officiating. Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.
