Mrs. Marjorie Pope, age 86, of Unionville, Tennessee died Sunday, May 1, 2022. Mrs. Pope was born in Bedford County and was preceded in death by her father, Travis Eugene Brown and mother, Carolyn Cunningham Brown Read. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marjorie was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Rev. Willis Pope; son, Randy Pope; and brothers, Bobby Brown and Joe Brown.
Mrs. Pope was a homemaker, a minister’s wife, and retired after 25 years as the cafeteria manager for Community School in Unionville, TN. Her passion in life was cooking and feeding family, friends, and all in her Community.
Mrs. Pope is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (Danny) Ryan, Nolensville, TN, Gay (Kenneth) Ensey, Rockvale, TN, Carol (Eddie) Price, Shelbyville, TN; grandchildren, Sharon (Brian) Frazier, Rachel (Matt) Smith, Justin (Erica) Ensey, Keyanna (Troy) Atwood, Austin (Miranda) Pope, Preston Pope (Candler Huddleston), Lindsey (Chad) Anderson, Jessica (Thomas) Evans, Abby (Trevor) Reed; great grandchildren, Georgia, Ryan, and Sarah Frazier; Hannah Hutchinson; Hadley and Harper Smith; Angie, Caroline, Claire, Clay and Cole Ensey; Zethan, Trynna, Nathanael, and Arayla Atwood; Knox and Kinsley Dye; Gavyn, Grayson, and Ava Anderson, Amos, Jude and Leo Evans; Kohen and Hollis Reed; sisters-in-law, Joann Brown, Betty Ann Pope, brothers-in-law, Haywood Pope, Allen (Linda) Pope, Alton (Judie) Pope, Thomas Dewey Pope; several nieces and nephews.
Family members will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Longview Baptist Church, 101 Cooper Road, Unionville, TN. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Longview Baptist Church with Jonathan Osterhaus officiating. Burial will follow in Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Comm. of Bedford County.
Troy Atwood, Justin Ensey, Chad Anderson, Brian Frazier, Matt Smith, Austin Pope, Preston Pope, Thomas Evans and Trevor Reed will serve as pallbearers.
